This course deals with Amorphous Metals

This course is complementary to the Course: 'Amorphous Metals' (Busch).
The topics are: Review of thermodynamics and solid state diffusion. Review of solidification principles. Metastability concept. Kinetics of solid state amorphization. Kinetics of glass-forming liquids. Fragility concept. Physical aging of glasses. Vitrification kinetics. Oxidation kinetics of metallic glasses
