Die Vorlesung behandelt für die Anwendungen wichtige Themen aus der mengentheoretischen und algebraischen Topologie. Zum geplanten Stoff gehören parakompakte Räume, Metrisierbarkeitssätze (Nagata-Smirnov), Funktionenräume, der Satz von Arzela-Ascoli, die Stone-Cech-Kompaktifizierung, die Fundamentalgruppe und universelle Überlagerungen.

The course gives an introduction to the theory of holomorphic functions of one complex variable. The main topics include Cauchy's integral theorem and its applications, isolated singularities, residue theorem and conformal mappings.
