Course Description:

In this seminar we deal with the evaluation of organizations, programs, or events. Different forms of evaluation and the assurance of quality will be discussed. At the end of the course, participants should be able to know, apply and interpret evaluation criteria.

Learning objectives:

After taking this course, students will understand quality assessment methods and evaluation criteria, gain an overview of the subject matter, and be able to apply, assess and plan evaluation concepts. They'll also be equipped to appraise contexts and effects of evaluations.

List of topics:

·       Theory and Models: we will have a look at different models and the theoretical foundation for evaluation and quality assessment so that you can distinguish.

·       Tools and processes: Here we are working on the tools to conduct evaluations. Starting from prerequisites to implementation processes in general.

·       Case studies: in these weeks we will work on fields of application in sports also, if in my examples I will always try to find the reference to sports in general but also to competitive sports. We’ll have a look at case studies.
