
The lecture "Sustainable Glass and Ceramics" offers a comprehensive overview of the sustainable development and application of glass and ceramic materials. It addresses ecological and economic aspects throughout the entire life cycle – from raw material extraction and processing to energy-efficient manufacturing and processing methods and strategies for reuse and recycling. In addition to the technological fundamentals, current research approaches and innovative concepts that contribute to reducing emissions and resource consumption are teached.
Particular emphasis is placed on the following teaching content:
