The seminar is an arena for students who have started their Master thesis to present their work and collect feedback. Participants need to apply for doing the master thesis before or no later than the day of the kick-off, i.e. 4th of May. This requires students to fill out and hand in the respective form. You will also propose a title of your thesis and collect agreement from two supervisors /reviewers beforehand. The kick-off will be held on 4th of May, 14 hrs on adobe connect at XXX (address to be determined). At the kick-off we will determine dates for presentation of the respective master theses. This will take place in form of a blocked seminar throughout the entire day(s). You need to reserve the entire days as the seminar will be "open end", depending on the length of the respective presentations. To collect credits for the seminar, you need to give a presentation on your thesis, provide feedback to each presentation in writing or orally, and give 5 minute firehose presentations for a second time in the next semester at the next master seminar. If we cannot meet in person, you will give your presentation online.
Students who are presenting are expected to have collected acceptance of their thesis title by Prof. Weinberger or will do so no later than
the date of their presentation. Please note, the day of collecting acceptance marks the first day of a 6 months period in which the thesis needs to be finished or will count as a first failed trial. In that case, Prof. Weinberger will give you a new thesis topic and another period of 6 months is starting for a second and final trial to finish your studies with a master thesis (and certificate).
