Entrepreneurship in IT and Maths
In the coming semester, we will again be offering specific lecture series in various departments to teach students the basics of setting up a company. The course will be recognised as a course achievement through successful participation in the examination.
For the departments of Computer Science and Mathematics, the lecture will be held under the title ‘You can do IT. Entrepreneurship in IT and Maths.’ This will take place from 28 October on Tuesdays from 16:15 to 17:45, building E1 3 HS 001, in English.
The event will cover topics such as:
- Business model development
- Preparation of a business plan
- Basics of the patent system
- Innovation management
- Team building and effectuation
The various possibilities of start-up support at Saarland University are presented. In addition, a fundamental part of the lecture consists of experience reports from founders.
