This brief micro-learning will provide users with foundational knowledge of universal design principles, the important role UD plays in advancing disability access and participation, and the political and professional advantages UD skills provide aspiring instructional designers. To better understand possible applications of UD, text-to-speech and dyslexia assistance tools are highlighted as examples.

These examples are only one piece of the broad field of universal design, and instructional designers should view this microlearning as a tool to inspire further research and acquisition of universal design skills. This module can be used on a personal computer, tablet, or smartphone.
