The Edutech design challenge seminar supports the Edutech lecture as a practical component. The three main assignments will consist of reading assignments, a wikipage creation assignment, and the Application design challenge.  In conjunction with the weekly class we will utilize moodle to manage assignments.

The Design thinking course is a mandatory 3rd-semester advanced seminar. You will find the material to read and the exercises sheets on Moodle. Ask your teacher to register you on the Moodle course.

Module Content

Design thinking will cover the following topics

• Approaches to design thinking for innovation and design practices
• Multimedia communication and basics of typography and illustration

Learning Goals / Competencies

The goals of the Design Thinking seminar are

• Students understand various facets of design and design thinking.
• Students learn to apply design thinking for innovation and design tasks.
• Students understand and practice graphical and interface design.

„Wie können Bildungstechnologien im Klassenzimmer das Lehren und Lernen sinnvoll unterstützen?”

Zu diesem Thema wird ein 5-wöchiger MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) "Bildungstechnologien für das Klassenzimmer" zwischen dem 04.01. und dem 05.02.2021 angeboten. Teilnehmer erlangen einen Überblick über aktuelle Bildungstechnologien und technologie-unterstützte instruktionale Ansätze. Dazu können sich die Teilnehmer an folgenden Lernaktivitäten beteiligen: Ansehen von Mini-Video-Vorlesungen, Lesen wissenschaftlicher Artikel, kooperative Analyse und Diskussion von Szenarien technologie-unterstützten Lehrens und Lernens, kritisches Bewerten von Peer-Analysen, Selbstevaluation durch Quizfragen.

Der MOOC richtet sich vornehmlich an Lehrpersonen als auch an Lehramtsstudierende sowie Studierende des Masterstudiengangs "Educational Technology". Bei Bestehen des Kurses können Lehrpersonen ein Zertifikat erhalten. Lehramtsstudierende erhalten 3 Credit Points im Wahlpflichtmodul 7 „Lehren mit neuen Medien”.

Geleitet wird der MOOC von Dr. Armin Weinberger, Professor am Lehrstuhl für Bildungstechnologie an der Universität des Saarlandes.
